Beth GutermanViolist Beth Guterman has appeared as a soloist, recitalist, and chamber musician at Carnegie, Alice Tully, Avery Fisher, Wigmore, and Jordan halls. She has performed at the Marlboro Music Festival, Steans Institute at Ravinia, Bridgehampton Chamber Music Festival, Bard Music Festival, and Festival Montreal. This season she performs as guest violist with Trio Cavetina, the Claremont Trio, Boston Artists Ensemble, Andover Chamber Music and continues to perform with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center of which she is a member. She performs for the first time with the Schenectady Symphony and the Utica Symphony playing Mozart’s Sinfonia Concertante. Last season, she twice toured with Musicians from Marlboro and performed in Bermuda, Boston, Tennessee, Vermont, Washington DC, and New York, Montreal, and across Europe. Ms. Guterman has recorded works of Mozart, Schubert, and Dvorák with other CMS Artists and Menahem Pressler on the Deutsche Grammophon label; her other recordings appear on the Tzadik and Naxos labels. A top prize winner in the Juilliard and Aspen Nakamichi competitions, she received her artist diploma from the New England Conservatory and her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from The Juilliard School studying with Kim Kashkashian, Masao Kawasaki, and Misha Amory.
