Nelson Lee
Nelson grew up in Michigan amidst a family of musicians. His parents are both pianists (his father also conducts) and his twin sisters play the clarinet and cello. Nelson is also married to a cellist, Denise Djokic, who is a fellow member of ECCO and hails similarly from a family of musicians. Incidentally, as a clear indication of how intimate the music world is, Nelson and Denise’s parents actually went to school together back in the 60′s and 70′s! Nelson is the first violinist of the Jupiter String Quartet which performs extensively throughout the US and abroad. He resides in Boston where he roots tirelessly for the Red Sox and Celtics. Nelson has been a member of ECCO since 2001 and cherishes every opportunity he has to play with this group.
